Thanksgiving

and the the number one thing that I am thankful for this year is my family especially this little turkey!!!

As always we spend thanksgiving with both families, and I am so grateful we can do that. I love my families!! Happy First thanksgiving little Ryann I am so thankful that you are apart of my family. I think you are the cutest, sweetest, funniest little girl I have ever seen. I couldn't be more lucky than to be your mom. Thank you so much for giving me the best gift I could possibly ever get!

Ry 9 Months

Ryann is still pretty apprehensive about going to other people besides mom, and Santa Claus was no exception, although she was more brave than I thought she would be! She only wimpered a little bit, but once he gave her a candy she was pretty happy. Seeing Darth Vader however was a breeze for her. He didn't bother her one bit. Silly Baby!!
She loves to play with necklaces and fingernail polish! She must take after mom! Being a girl is so fun!!! She surprises me with her eye hand cordination. She can pick things up wtih her pointer finger. She likes to put darts on her fingers and push buttons. She can even push the smallest buttons!! She got 3 new teeth on 11/27/11. Her two upper central and the one right next to that, which makes her chucky smile even cuter!! She is starting to army crawl. I told her she wasn't allowed to crawl until after Christmas and so far she has been pretty obedient. Right now she is in a Dadadada phase and that is all she likes to say. Bryce didn't believe me at first, but he couldn't deny it when he came from work one day and she greeted him by saying dada Ryann also loves the phone right now I can't talk to anyone without her freaking out. She has even called Aunt Pony all by herself!! She also loves to pull out all the wipes from her box. I think she did it so often that I would say "oh no and make a face, so now whenever you say "Oh no" to her she makes the same face. She is pretty much the cutest!!! I love all the faces that she makes!

I am thankful for... my grams and gramps

It is my grammys golden birthday this year 11-11-11 what an awesome birthday and so to honor her i thought I would just write a few memories of her and my grampy When I was young I use to get babysat over at their house and so I have spent a lot of really great times with the both of them. Grams and I use to love to do puzzles, play jacks, color- she use to give me 10 cents for ever page that I colored for her, make chocolates and milkshakes- but I had to had to eat it with the little spoon, go to the store- She would always buy me a little present. They even took me on vacations with them bear lake, swan lake, park city and St. George

sunday dinner started with my grandma, grandpa, and my dad. When my mom and dad were dating my mom had a trip planned to go to Europe, but my dad wanted to skip the trip and get just get married instead. My grandma said that she told him no! That he would have to wait until she came back from her trip, but that while she was gone he could come to their house on sunday for dinner. If there was any convincing my dad it was probably through food so he agreed and the tradition has stuck ever since. I always loved going over to my grandma's house for sunday dinner. I loved playing with my cousins! When we were young we liked to sneak under the table and steal the socks off of my grandpa's feet and tickle his toes. We thought we were pretty hilarious!! We also loved to get into my grandma's makeup. She had the coolest lipstick I had ever seen. It came in tubes about an inch long and they were the brightest colors you had ever seen. That however was only a one time event! we were scolded. and told that we were never to get into grandmas makeup ever again! Grammy was a good cook. When I got a little older drove to her house once a week and she helped me cook all of my favorite recipes (fried chicken, ribs, icecream, and pies!!) Some things that my grandparents say that I love are: your the boss
I believe what I believe now don't fowl me up
allergies don't bug me anymore, the only thing that bugged me this year was you!
I use to be a good grandma, but now I am a great one

I am thankful for...dreams

I need to have a video recorder next to my bed because Bryce is the craziest dreamer. I woke up last night to him yelling in his sleep. I am not sure what about, but he seemed pretty upset. He stopped yelling and then threw his pillow at the TV and went back to bed...maybe he was yelling at his pillow. It wouldn't be the first time that his pillow has gotten a reaction out of him while he was sleeping. One time I woke up to him laughing hysterically... literally hysterically laughing. I have only seen him laugh like that a few times. I wasn't sure if he was asleep or awake so I peeked under his pillow (because unlike most people who sleep on their pillow, Bryce likes to sleep under his pillow) and I asked him what was so funny he replied, "the pillow was on my face"......silly pillow!!

I am Thankful for... other peoples talents

I am thankful for my own as well, but it seems like lately the talents of others have seemed to really bless my life. Tonight Penney cooked dinner for us which she does a lot just because she is nice like that, and it is always a special treat for Bryce and I because she is such a good cook. (cooking is not something that I have been blessed with) I feel like we live with my own Martha Stewart (except for the whole jail thing) She has also taught me new things with crafts and scapbooking.

Lately I have been on pintrest. It has so many fun ideas on there from weight loss to food recipes to house decor to craft ideas I love it everyone just posts their cute ideas so everyone can copy it. How great is that!!

I also really admire Bryce's talents. He is always willing to help others out. He is good about not gossiping, and helping me see other people's point of view. He is a go getter, I can always count on him to get things done. He is clean. I think it is funny when wives complain about their husbands folding the laundry wrong or not cleaning up to their standards. I feel like the role is reversed in our family. Bryce has had me clean several dishes over again, he has taught me the "right" way to fold sheets and his shirts, and I am pretty sure I have seen him vacuume right after I have vacuumed. Sometimes I think Bryce would be a better stay at home mom than I am...

I am Thankful for...Sports!!!

Last night we went to my nephew's campionship football game They won 14-0. I was so excited for him. It brought back memories of when I played sports, although my teams (except for church) never won too many championships! still it was very fun, and definately my favorite way to exercise, no wonder I was a lot skinnier then!!! Hopefully I can get back on a league soon!

I am Thankful for...Bryce's job!!!

It is so reasurring to me to have my husband in such a stable profession, not to mention having my own personal nurse whenever I need him, and it seems that I have needed him a lot this year! He is almost always able to pick up extra shifts if he needs them which is nice because with me at home...we have needed them!!! Bryce is such a hard worker, and he is always willing to go the extra mile for our family even if he is not feeling up for the task. Although I am very thankful for Bryce's job and his strong work ethic, I am even more thankful for his days off!! I love spending time with him and I love seeing him play and take care of Ryann even more! She always has big smiles for daddy!!There is nothing better than hearing your husband playing with your kids.

One day I was facebooking and Ryann started to cry so Bryce went upstairs to see what was wrong. It seemed that she just wanted someone to play with her, and there is no one better at that job than Bryce. I wasn't paying attention too much, but it sounded like there was a pizza truck and a chinese person in another car. Ryann had stopped whinning, but I was't sure who was more entertained at that point her or Bryce...or me listening in on them. I was thinking I should probably be secretly recording this, and just as I was thinking that Bryce was getting Ryann to laugh, so I grabbed my camera and headed up stairs. I was able to catch some Ryann laughing, but no chinese guys darn it. Next time I had better be a little bit quicker!!!

I am Thankful for...Family get togethers!!!

Tonight I went to a Cox family get together. I haven't seen most of this side of the family since I got married and others it has been since my dad died. Just being around them I can feel my dad close by. He was always such a family man. A lot of us cox's are pretty shy so it can be pretty hard to socialize especially when we haven't seen each other in such a long time, but everyone is so nice that it is just fun being around each other. My mom's side is a lot smaller, but we get together every Sunday I think that it is such a great tradition that my grandma started, because if it wasn't for Sunday dinner who knows when we would see each other. I love Bryce's family get together just as much as I love my own. His family get togethers are so different than my family get togethers. His family is not small or shy or quiet. His family gets together a lot even though they don't have a "Sunday dinner" ritual. I love being with his family they are just so much fun!!! And everyone in his family is so ready and willing to help out with whatever.  Every single one of them asked me what they could do to help at Ryann's baby blessing, and at our wedding. The Ericson's are a force and that is probably what I love most about them!!

I am Thankful for...Cousins!!!

I talked to my BCF on the phone last night for probably a half an hour, but we could probably talk for hours if we had time. She is the one person besides Bryce that I can talk to about anything and everything. We have probably even spent a whole phone call talking about our TV shows! Although she moved away from me when I was 5 or 6 we still keep in contact all the time. We use to write letters when I was younger (which I still have all of them) and then when we got older we started to call each other every week. I probably keep in better contact with her than with some of my friends that live right here in Utah. We use to spend every summer together and when she would leave my mom would have to take a few days off of work because I would be so sad and depressed. It is harder for us to get together now that we are older and have to pay for our own plane tickets to see each other, but I still cry when we have to say goodbye. I am also thankful for cell phones it sure does make it a lot easier to get in contact with people that you love!

Bryce also has the greatest cousins, but they too live far away, so we only get together once or if it is a good year than twice a year. Memorial Day has become one of my favorite holidays because we head out to Vernal for a visit, and we always have way too much fun!!!
Ryann has also got the best cousins, and she is lucky because all of hers live in town, and even better ...upstairs! Whenever Ryann gets a little fussy I take her upstairs to play with her cousins and then she calms right down. They can usually get her to laugh pretty good too!!
Even though most of Ryann's cousins are a few years older than her. They are all so cute to play with her especially when they share ALL of their toys!!
